  Gooderham and Worts Distillery was a huge manufacturing area in Toronto in 1800's and today this became centre for arts, culture, food and entertainment. The Gooderham and Worts Distillery was foundered by two brother-in- laws call William Gooderham and James Worts in 1932. This place was famous for Whiskey and sprits but ceased the operations in 1990s.

  Now the Distilleries District became a new centre for arts and entertainment. This pedestrian only village consists of galleries, studios, restaurants and bars. This also a popular film location in Canada also. There are 44 heritage buildings located in this area. There are many performing arts venues located here. The Young Centre for Performing Arts and the George Brown Theatre School also located here. You can do some shopping here and there several retail establishments are located. Some special events happening in the week ends.
